external wg, tubular exhaust manifolds that relocted the turbo away from the intake, ceramic coated liners in the exhaust port of the cylinder head. They also had a huge bore and a short stroke. Very cool stuff but it had an old schol 8 valve head. Apparently there are companies that use the crank from the 968 and the 16 v head from the na motor to create a 3 l turbo 4. Still stays an oversquare motor and revs nicely. Unfortunately like all things german BIG bux.
